Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas

PURPOSE

To define the policy for student rotations on the Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas (THD) campus.

SCOPE Applies to all students requesting rotations at THD.
PROVISIONS

Student rotations are offered only to Physician Assistant (PA) Students or fourth (4th) year Medical Students.

To be eligible, an individual must be enrolled in a medical school accredited by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME) or in a Physician Assistant program.

The individual will be required to complete an application form and will be asked to provide a Curriculum Vitae, immunization records, and documentation from their school to include proof of malpractice/liability coverage. The GME office will process the application for approval by the Specialty Chief, supervising faculty and Graduate Medical Education Committee. The student rotation must be mutually acceptable to THD and the applicant.

Students will be granted access to the Electronic Health Record (EHR) on a read-only basis. Patient consent must be granted before student may enter patient room.
